Felicity is not facility. There are no shortcuts to be happy.
Happiness is not a goal. It is a thermometer for people to evaluate if they are on the right path, the one assigned by God in the heart of every creature.
Happiness does not necessarily have to do with joy or pleasure. One can be happy, even with notes of sadness or other forms of suffering. Sadness and pain are opposites, not to happiness, but to joy and pleasure, respectively. Of course, a little joy and pleasure, with less sadness and pain, create and even favor a context of happiness, but they do not comprise it entirely. Happiness is in the commitment to follow what one’s own conscience points out as a vocation of service to the common good.

It does not matter your spiritual practice, your religio-philosophical inclination or choice for a particular approach to the essential subject of Spirituality – the Fundamental Floor of Reality, whose deepest foundations are based on the Creator.
What you really need to evaluate are the constructive, healing, transformative, humanizing effects of your psychospiritual practices, whether they are unfolded through meditation, prayer or the interaction with the inhabitants of other dimensions of consciousness.
Devote yourself, with immovable discipline, to one or more [spiritual] activities of your preference, interweaving or alternating them, but, no matter what, keep the focus on becoming a more complete, solidary human being at the service of the common good, in the (currently available) plenipotence of your capacities to offer the good, the beautiful and the just to your brothers and sisters in humanity.
Other than that, there is no salvation. Therein lies, fully, the safe roadmap for your redemption, transcendence and maximum coefficient of fulfillment and happiness that you can experience today, no matter your evolutionary stage.
This axial principle is expressed in the Words of the Christ Jesus, concomitantly in the form of prayer to God, of prophecy and of exhortation to His authentic disciples: “Father, may all be One”1, to which we add, simultaneously as a prayer, a prediction and a strong call to individuals and communities to fight to realize the sacred civilizational project of this orb:
Divine Mother, may all become united in the full and pure fraternity, even if gradually, no matter whether the final goal seems and in fact is reserved for a still distant future, for the so problematic earthly humanity of today.

Not all celebrations are happy, but they are always a rite of passage full of meanings and exhortations to the learning and fulfilment of individuals and communities, starting with the reflection around identity and purpose.
In this broad sense, even a funeral consists of a celebration, which ordinarily is riddled with sorrow and an odor of tragedy, although for supporters of the thesis of the immortality of the soul, it should be marked with enthusiasm due to the liberation of the deceased who, if having good nature and good behavior, go to a happier domain of the human reality.
See the painful trance of menarche or of adolescence as a whole, for both genders, be they cisgender and transgender people, regardless their sexual orientation. Every change is not only death of situations but also rebirth in contexts of different opportunities for experience and growth.
May we grow and get rid of the childish and primary immediacy of the momentary revelry, so that we can honor the lessons and stimuli that difficulty and even suffering carry in their core, thus fostering, with a more lucid and realistic attitude of accepting this inevitable counterpart of existence, a faster, more profound and, paradoxically, less painful assimilation of the evolutionary treasures involved in the less happy periods and aspects of life.
