The principle of evolution always calls on us to use any experience of failure or error as a learning opportunity. This is an intrinsic part of the Spiritual Reality in which we live.
No one progresses solely through the experience of victory. Quite the contrary: it is a well-known and frequently reiterated insight that failures teach us far more than triumphs do.
When we lose once again to a European team in the World Cup, we are confronted with traits deeply rooted in our national mindset: a tendency toward psychological relaxation and a lack of aggressiveness channeled toward the good.
The lesson for all of us Brazilians, then, is clear: we need less complacency and more discipline and objectivity in every area of our lives.
That’s how it is: we lost, but that’s the game!
