Do not fight against yourself. Become fully yourself. Seek the state of flow, the spontaneous experience of expressing who you really are, joyfully externalizing what makes you happier, more fulfilled, peaceful, integrated.
This is the light cross-burden to which our Lord Jesus referred¹. Take up the cross that is yours: the lightest, because it is natural. Free yourself. Do not imprison yourself in an armor. Concentrate on producing the fruit of the fruit tree that you are, instead of violating yourself, boxing yourself in, shackling yourself, which inexorably generates a counter-reactive, counter-productive, destructive and self-destructive effect.

The voice of conscience does not induce self-condemnation, but the transformation of guilt into responsibility, in those who sincerely repent and strive, with perseverance, to redress for the evils they have incurred, by action or negligence.
The voice of conscience does not oppress or deter. On the contrary, it frees one from prejudices and fosters deep self-realization, whether or not one’s most authentic vocation and identity are in tune with the conventions or standard morality of a time and place, of a specific culture, religion or society.
The voice of conscience leads to the discipline of self-education and of pursuing to overcome vices of all kinds – including psychological and relational ones –, towards the progressive transcendence to which each creature is destined, thus promoting, in those who follow it, increasing degrees of peace (albeit with momentary conflicts) and happiness (despite the normal sufferings of the human condition), in an inconceivable way to those who do not set themselves on the Celestial Trajectory that it, in the Name of God, constitutes for every individual.

When the magnifying glass of fate finds you, thrusting suffering upon you, do not say something childish and stupid like: “Why is this happening to me?”— It could happen to anyone, and you are no better than your brothers and sisters in humanity.
Verify, indeed, the purpose implied in the adversity. Pain occurs to signal that something is wrong — both in terms of action and omission — and needs to be changed.
Do not fight with your stomach because it hurts, nor blame God for being unfair and cruel because of it: change your eating habits and treat your gastritis.
There are many gastritides out there, burning in the soul, and also many sick people taking painkillers for immediate pleasures instead of healing the wound in their core, which gets worse and worse.
How can we heal the pain of the soul? — a dear friend would ask me. Listen to it — I would answer. Because by listening to the warning it has to give you, you will discover what you must do to heal it and be happy.

There are no sides but only a unity in the common good.
In the final analysis and under any circumstances, always keep this focus, seeking it judiciously when this fundamental parameter is not clear to your perception.
Because, my friend, if you deviate from this primordial axis of discernment and lucidity, you will ineluctably suffer the consequences, no matter how many justifications you elaborate and try to interpose between you and the fate that will overtake you, perhaps soon, so much worse if later.
A choice or attitude is only authentically of the good when, in its ultimate unfolding, it includes, defends and reinforces the dignity of all human creatures, of life as a whole, encompassing the completeness of the ecosystems that make up the planetary biosphere.

The problems of the pandemic generated by SARS-CoV-2 are inseparable from other very acute crises that maintain the mythical “sword of Damocles” over the possibility of humanity’s survival on the surface of the Earth.
Actions by national governments, international organizations, local communities and individuals must be orchestrated, urgently and effectively, to avoid a collapse of the ecosystems, as far as human presence on the planet is concerned. This is because, as science informs us, life will continue on the earthly crust, but with a biosphere in conditions that will not support our species.
Thus, it is dramatically urgent that the goals presented in the “2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development” be implemented, with rigor, persistence and resoluteness at all levels and areas.
We are one humanity – we have known this for a long time! We also ineludibly form a Unity with the entire ecological system of our planetary corner.
The core of the serious danger of us being extinguished from the face of the globe lies in the need of us comprehending, clearly and deeply, the critical reality we face, to the point of acting in accordance with the seriousness that this conviction requires from us: of immediately aligning ourselves with the environmental demands of our world so that we continue to be part of the Earth’s biospheric network before we, after having received so many alarming warnings from nature, are expelled from it, forever!…
