Deep Calculation

Benjamin Teixeira by the Spirit Eugênia

Did a friend mistreat you? Is a reconciliation not possible? Did he or she act coldly in a way that seemed dangerous to you for seriously compromising the economy of your psychological life? It is ok: let him go. Do not dramatize it and act with the possible tranquility, like a manager who deliberates, not like a victim who cries. This happens because it is something natural to the human existence. Not everyone is in the same level.

There are other friends around  you. You just have to open your eyes. Give love for those who give you love, give attention for those who give you attention, and, that way, you will feel compensated. In what concerns Christian charity, it has already been said: it is in the chapter of distant relationships (emotionally speaking, not necessarily physically),  when you actually give something without expecting anything in return. But, regarding your intimacy, be careful with those who come to squander, without any spirit of reciprocity in their conscience, respect to the other, consideration for your feelings and needs. Because they are wolves in sheep’s clothing, in the words of Jesus, since they simulate feelings to get something they are interested in, but run away indifferently or irritated when something is asked of them for others.

You tell me you want to help him or her. Watch out! You may be just stimulating his vice or abusive tendencies and, thereby, all your martyrium will imply debt to your soul, besides torturing you, since you will be conniving and accomplice to your companion’s destructive inclination. In addition, you will waste precious energy of your mental cosmos, which could perfectly be used in good deeds. Not rare well-intentioned creatures criminally do nothing and fail to contribute to as they should to general welfare, because they are plugged with unconscious vampires, who steal all their creative forces.

Someday he or she will awake. But it is not your duty to destroy yourself, be irresponsible with your own mental life, to feed others’ whims. Therefore, release him, so he reaps the effect of his hideous selfishness, until one day, after much suffering, he learns how to respect people’s sufferings. If, at times, he was useful, it was only by thinking of his immediate gains (of his vanity, prestige in the community, other benefits calculated for him) as it was attested by his profound indifference to your desperate plea. Without spirit of service, sincere idealism, people of this psychological shape can convert themselves into weed of the evangelical cause, creating great losses for the divine work.

For the called are many and the chosen are few, taught the Master. Notice as Jesus says that, in the wedding feast, even though some can enter God’s work, if they do not have the appropriate spiritual pitch to stay there, they are gentle but peremptorily invited to leave, in order not to compromise the ambience, and, thereby, avoid general damage. And before this reflection, do not mistake the concepts of forgiveness with intelligence in managing your own relational life, since a wolf is not evil for being a wolf, but the shepherd who allows the wolf’s entrance into a sheepfold full of sheeps is the irresponsible and careless one, because he provides the damage of the entire group, in favor of allowing the flow of bestial instincts of a single creature.

Thus, without tearjerkers that debase, instead of dignifying, like a mother who spoils the kids that were trusted her by the Divine Providence, in place of disciplining them, take the necessary steps to keep the balance and usual flow of duties and commitments you are attached to. And if, in such deliberations, the presence of the problematic personality is a compromising hindrance, simply disconnect him, with neither hesitations nor remorses of the pulleys of your routine, letting him follow the path in accordance with what his unconsciousness or limitation suggests.

The Essential Fight

The essential fight

The Essential Fight

“Yours is the fight to be your own self.

The hidden treasure that Jesus referred to, the gift that cannot be buried (1). If you do not offer the world the unique contribution that only you, in your very personal way, can present, no one else will.

Yes, every individual is replaceable, and when remiss, his negligence, in the most essential matters to the common good, is covered by the initiative of others. But this happens in a time, manner and extent that allows the appearance of gaps in the orchestration of goodness and life, which will inescapably fall into the karmic account of the lax individual.

Weren’t this principle of personal neglect a problem of  hard to reverse consequences, and we wouldn’t see so many horrors of injustice and malevolence on Earth, in every field of human action or inaction.”

Weakened by a little Sadness

Benjamin Teixeira de Aguiar by the Spirit Eugênia-Aspasia.

Depressive moments are significant. Every time you sink into sadness, stop and reflect. Something is being said to you, something urgent…

Something to be studied, an undelayable trip, visiting someone dear, a loving phone call, but behind all that, and most importantly, a critical and unpostponable need for a shift in consciousness.

Now that sadness surrounds your heart, carefully evaluate the probable causes of its appearance and, without surrendering to the temptation of victimizing yourself (renouncing the power to solve the issue), re-evaluate your existence, for no matter how painful and difficult this moment may seem: this is the time.

It doesn’t need to be much. Pray for a few moments, write down some ideas, talk to someone you trust, open up with loved ones, seek psychotherapy and advice from more experienced people, read self-help books, reconnect yourself with your conscience, meditate in nature, break the routine, watch inspirational films, attend religious services, engage in social and volunteering services, dedicate yourself to dilettantism (paint, draw, dance, go to the beach, walk on bare feet, listen to songs that you like, cook a different meal for yourself), and, finally, think of God by your side, all the time, as a continuous and infinitely wise guide, trying to tune in with His Will through intuition and the voice of your heart.

You don’t need to break down into depression, or become seriously ill, or have a car accident, or lose a loved one, your job or your marriage, in order to stop and reflect. Do not wait for great misfortunes to come and snatch you out of your self-indulgence; because they will come if you keep resisting to the minor invitations to evolution that Life sends you. Take advantage of the little opportunities of reflection and change, in the simple difficulties and pains that you encounter every day. In doing so, you will turn unpleasant, tedious and stressful circumstances into a path, which stimulates growth, peace and happiness, in every way. .

Injustice and ingratitude

Injustice and ingratitude

Injustice and ingratitude

Benjamin Teixeira de Aguiar – Dear Mentor, the issue of injustice and ingratitude constitutes a recurring subject among people’s lamentations. Could you tell us something about it?

Spirit Eugênia-Aspásia – Yes. First, it is pleasant for the human ego to take the role of victim. This attitude, for this very reason, is more common in immature personalities or more flawed individuals. Rationalizations, often very well elaborated, distort facts and the interpretation of events, so that the individual can feel like “the poor creature that was misunderstood and mistreated for no reason.”

On the other hand, there are embodied spirits that are, in fact, ahead of the average level of evolution on Earth, and whose benevolent actions are frequently met with attacks and unjust, nonsensical and often virulent reactions, moved by those who see their unconfessable interests contradicted.

A more objective and judicious observation easily distinguishes those who belong to each of these two opposite groups, among which most of the population fits into, within the vast scale of the “victim complex’s” spectrum.

At one extreme, we have those who degrade themselves to be right at all costs, living motivated by self-interest, while blaming others for their failures, ascribing to themselves all the apparent laurels they flaunt.

At the other extreme, we have the brilliant who have been wronged, and yet, heroically remain at the service of causes and ideals for the common good, no matter how many times and to what extent they are, along the years, betrayed by souls of precarious development, who approach them with the intention of obtaining specific advantages, which are obviously not always met in their inferior expectations.

Let us beware of those who expect angelic behavior from others, especially when such detractors slander those who obviously spread the good in massive proportions.

Beings of the Higher Plane of Life, when reincarnated, rarely behave as directed by the conventions or presuppositions of virtue. They suffer the same problems and needs of the human condition, but under a level of mental pressure that would drive any ordinary temperament crazy. And these (ordinary temperaments) are precisely those who, not having the slightest good sense to recognize the hearts that are ahead of them in the evolutionary path, feel tempted to despise, slander and look askance at Works of God and of His-Her servants, in the physical domain of life.

Finally, do not expect missionaries of the Light to adjust to the appearance of “holy” or “enlightened souls” of their time, or they would not be fulfilling their role of catalytic agents for the general progress.

Discriminatory moralism, full of the hypocritical poison of reactionary conservatism, has victimized, century over century, well before the time of Jesus (but including Him spectacularly), the authentic ambassadors of the Heavens, in all cultures and societies.

Your eyes

Your eyes

Your eyes — your soul, your energy, your thoughts and feelings, in short… your assigned destiny…

Put heart in them, so that ego and evil do not cover the vacuum and bring you experiences that demand from you more arduous defenses, or that bring you a greater quota of disasters.
