Realize an act of kindness, everyday. This policy of daily action may be a way of saving yourself – from the boredom of routine, the lack of purpose to live, the unstopping search to consume, conquer, pay the bills… – a relatively easy path, and maybe a glorious one, which you have been pursuing for a long time… of peace… and happiness!…

Pray at the beginning of your day, as well as before doing any simple duty of the everyday life, and mobilize yourself in every action, with the spirit of helping, caring, loving. And be sure: you will be in resonance with the Holy Spirits of God, Who want to spread goodness, kindness, wisdom and peace, to everywhere, in every circumstance, and not just at large, spectacular, and “gigantic” situations and tasks.

The child asks for, demands and complains. Does not give. Cries, kicks, screams.
The adult gives, and after that demands retribution. Does not cry: argues, negotiates, and not getting what he wants, breaks the exchange relationship up, to establish, elsewhere, with others, a new exchange relationship.
The angel gives, and has already received, in the act of giving. Does not complain, does not charge, does not negotiate, does not require absolutely anything in return for what he did, he is already satisfied in the very mechanism of giving, fed by his own altruism.
Every human being has a greater or lesser extent of each of the phases. However, there are hybrid situations that demonstrate imbalance. One of them, the most common, is that of those who give little and want to get a lot: a childish adult. Or, the one we want to focus the most in here: the one who gives a lot and want to receive from those who do not want to give. It is the sacrificial victim, while the first is the childish victim. The sacrificial victim is not a crybaby: is a dangerous monster. It gives a lot, to have authority to charge and requires the exchange relationship with those who do not want it.
If I give to someone and someone does not return me the favor, I am not a victim. I suffered a fatality, a natural experience in the adult world of exchange, of not receiving what I expected in a relationship. It is up to me, then, to make clear the reasons for the termination (in this tacit agreement between the parties involved in the exchange of interests and values) and to go to a new relational game, with other subjects. But if I insist, I am not a child, but also do not act like a healthy adult: I am a tyrant, a despot, that through force wants to impose myself on who does not want me, does not desire me, rejects me. I am not a poor man, I am a preying wolf, the worst kind of wolf: because I am a hypocrite, disguising my intentions with the appearance of virtue, requiring submission from the part that interests me, ignoring the free will, the right, the will, the existence of the other: Only I matter and not the other. So, I demand, manipulate, cry and appear exhausted, brooding blame on my victim. The other, yes, probably a childish victim, because he does not realize (consciously) the game, and conforms, not summarily expelling me of his life, as would a healthy, mature adult, thus adapting to the system – because it suits him – of receiving a lot, giving little or nothing in return.
Beware the surreptitious power games in interpersonal relationships. Looks can be deceiving. Better to be aware of what we are wanting in return than deceiving ourselves, judging us angels ahead of time. Yes, we are already, developing the seed of god within us. Thus, altruism, the spirit of free solidarity and compassion, without any embedded intention of retribution, expands. But every time we judge ourselves devoid of personal interest, while in the human condition, it is strongly suspicious. We can be fully owned by the tyrannical illusion of the poor devoted martyr, but always moody, sad and sick, spreading guilt, fear and hatred wherever he goes. The true saint is never sad or macerated. He is happy because he gives and is satisfied by giving. If I live carrying crosses and making those who pass by notice it, I’m not an angel, I am a demon, a pathetic pretense of holiness, a walking psychological illness, a horrendous pustule of false morality, of false goodness.
Mommy who gives to look good is not a responsible mother. She is selfish and evil. She is destroying the future of her child, worrying about the image the child will have of her, not educating him. Rightly, she’s likely to be punished by the ingratitude, because she raised a child addicted to receive, without giving.
Good hubby does not live demanding tributes of gratitude and obedience. Or he is not good, but a cheap and stingy seducer hiding behind the good guy cover, to better co-opt his victim.
Daddy, who says that I must follow the profession that he determined, otherwise I am ungrateful, is not a conscientious father: treats me as a puppet in his hands (to achieve his personal dreams) and thinks I have the obligation to act as such. Or I am a bad puppet, because (horror!), I act like people (how dare I, after so many years of sacrifice!), and so I have my own will, opinion and aspirations!
Let each one look at themselves, trying to see their dominant attitudes. We have a little of the child, of the helpless victim, of the demanding victim, of the angel or of the half-angel, in the depths of ourselves. Some have more of one, others have more of the other, but all have a bit of each. May we be honest enough with ourselves, in order to see with clarity, with no disguises, what we really are, what we really intend in every relationship and in each specific situation of a relationship, so that we can not only improve as people, evolving psychologically and morally, but also in order to have more satisfying, less frustrating and disappointing social, emotional, family and amical lives, because more sincere and, consequently, happier.
There is no holiness without sanity. Let each one think about it with the utmost care, to not end up being blamed for giving too much, when it was not only to give, but to give in a balanced relationship of give and take, according to the very personal level of evolution one has reached, in order not to engender vicious relationships, not only detrimental to the giver, but mainly to whom receives under pressure.

Since I launched our Organization’s TV show, in January 1994, representing a Group of Spiritual Masters, I have been defending the rights of the homosexual community, local and nationally – by satellite coverage for the whole country since 1996 – and even abroad (a short version of our program is cablecast in the US, since 1997). One can imagine, in the condition of a leader of a spiritual-Christian school of thought, the amount of opposition we have faced, in these 21 years… up to now!
Speaking of what Science states about the subject is almost a joke, annihilating any argument of whoever wants to encourage controversy. Since the American Psychiatric Association started to consider homosexuality as a natural sexual behavior in human beings, in the distant year 1973, very serious international organizations, such the UN and the WHO, and national ones, like the Brazilian Medical Association and the Federal Council of Psychology, began writing and publishing their documents in favor of the same idea - all this before the turn of the century!
Long before that, however, for decades, in the most educated circles and in the most civilized nations of the planet, it has become more and more uncouth and impolite to discriminate against gays, lesbians or bisexuals. More recently, among educated and well-informed people, the act of condemning someone for having a different sexual orientation from the majority is considered a crass demonstration of ignorance, little intelligence and/or psychological immaturity.
In the sphere of Law and the current legislations, wherever there are peoples of vanguard, the civil rights of the homosexuals and even equal civil marriage have shown equivalent progress, towards unquestionable acceptance.
However, I need to recognize publicly that when I had a religious marriage, in 2009, with my husband, Wagner de Aguiar, or even when we made our relationship official with the civil marriage, in the recent year of 2013, I did not imagine that the wave of transformations in this area of mores and individual liberties would get the speed and vigor, it has been showing, progressively, over the years!…
Defending my own cause? As a mature homosexual, being gay since childhood, I can state – speaking in behalf of psychology scholars of diverse schools of thought – that the greatest persecutors of gays, lesbians, bisexuals and transgenders are people who have problems with their own sexual inclinations or gender identity. On the other hand, the greatest supporters and campaigners for the rights of the LGBT community are often cisgender heterosexuals, great judges and politicians with a view well beyond the mediocrity of small groups found in all societies.
I congratulate the U.S. Supreme Court and the great leader of the Executive Branch of the most influential nation on Earth! With the enacting, at the federal level, of the right to same-sex marriage, an important step was taken for the principles of equality and liberty, not only in the United States, but also in the whole world, given the enormous power of influence the American culture enjoys on the globe.
The movement in favor of equal rights, in the field of sexual orientation and gender identity, is a historic and evolutive tendency that grows swiftly and irreversibly, despite the crying of some minority groups, engulfed in narrow minds, ignorance and a good dose of stinginess and unmentionable interests.
A SEVERE WARNING for those who declare themselves Christians!
Jesus NEVER condemned homosexuality!
Observe the arguments of homophobic people who base themselves on Bible passages – NONE of them are in the Gospels of Christ!
Jesus, who protected the minorities, condemned the prejudiced religious authorities of His time, like the Pharisees and Sadducees, whom He called hypocrites! This religious elite (which, by a curious coincidence with current events, was also political) not by chance radically followed the Old Testament, where we find these biblical passages used by the homophobic-fundamentalist of today, sacrilegiously declaring themselves representatives of Christianity. THEY ARE NOT! And, no matter how much they shout in contrary (as tyrants do), they will be called to account by the Christ Word of Truth and Fraternity, still in this life and… after death… only God knows how severely!…
Some people prefer to look like fanatics of traditional religions, like genocidal terrorists who kill innocent people and persecute minorities!…
We who are the legitimate Christians have only one possible course of action concerning the LGBT community – we should say YES to love and inclusion, and never to condemnatory behavior, a typical characteristic of those who were responsible for the Crucifixion of Jesus… and continue to be, until today…
But “woe to those by whom the stumbling-blocks come” – stumbling-blocks of hate, regression and blasphemy (here making the correct application of the words of our Lord and Master Jesus)!… They have no idea how ridiculed they already are, in front of well-informed and decent people, and how much their retrograde moral misalignment will quickly intensify with time, leading them to be marginalized in the heart of the societies, and, worse than that, to bear great responsibility, before Celestial Authorities, for trying to link the sacred Name of Jesus to their prejudice and diabolic initiatives to persecute minorities…
As for the afterlife… let’s leave it for the unfailing Justice of the Forces of God!…

The psychological preparation is a lifelong endeavor. That deserves special care, but without the pathetic paranoia of those who want to do everything at once. The spirit of gradation of nature must be respected if we aim some success in this complex and delicate undertaking.
