Taking an effective turn in your Life.

Benjamin Teixeira de Aguiar by the spirit Eugênia-Aspásia.

Yes, indeed sudden changes exist. They are complex and require time to prepare, yet they happen. The History of the great figures of humanity, like that of the human race present plenty examples of them.

And, to ease your participation in this curious phenomenon (who would not want their famous New Year’s resolutions to work out?), we will present some practical and brief suggestions to crown your changes with success.

First, for a change to be real, it has to be durable. To be durable, it must be sustainable, within the individual’s realm of possibility, that is: respecting one’s current evolutionary level, one’s personality structure, one’s psychic frame as a whole. It is from this elementary reasoning that we are going to attack on two fronts our effort of war (is there any greater and more necessary effort than the one which concerns our evolution?) First: increase immediate transformations within our present limits of evolution. And, second: aggregate evolutionary potential to our consciousness, consequently increasing the potential of change.

The second block of initiatives demands time, energy and lots of work, with detachment from immediate results, since one cannot control the rhythm of progress and of complexification of the soul, in the intricate mechanisms of consciousness. In this context, we enter the field of the quantum leap principle, a concept from modern Quantum Physics, which states the possibility of an electron to move from one orbit to another within an atom, without passing by the intermediate ranges of space that keep these orbits apart. To do so, however, the electron accumulates electrical charge up to the point of reaching the corresponding level of charge of the orbit to where it is instantly projected. In this way, the sudden change of position within the atom, as well as the historic revolutions, seem accidental, but they were cumulatively happening in the course of a long period.

Bringing this idea to our experience of catalysis of transformational processes implies a series of continued and persistent initiatives, which prepare the ground of the psyche, in order to increase its fertility potential for the desired fruits. Reading, psychotherapy, professional counselling, group support, and, especially, a strong experience of God, through religion or any other form of spirituality that better suits one’s ideological and psychological predispositions. All this, however, without seeking immediate results, but trusting in the inevitability of good. And, as in a mental gestation whose psychic pregnancy duration is unknown, one needs to endeavor for as long as necessary, indefinitely, or there will be a consciential abortion of the new achievements that would occur.

But with respect to the first battlefront, the one of immediate initiatives and of greater effect, since they even favor, from the perspective of the second, an excellent evolutional exercise for the individual, take a look at the following four simple but fundamental suggestions that we present here to propel your change for the better:

1. Consider changes of small expression. Do not covet the unviable. Think of the little that can be sustained. Desiring to accomplish a lot may simply block the mind and even generate counter-reactive effects in the unconscious, which undermines excessively audacious initiatives, through the reinforcement of exactly what you want to overcome.

2. Make the change objective, so it can be monitored. “Reading more”, for example, is a poorly defined objective for it is a frustrating abstraction, beyond the control of reason. “Reading half an hour per day”, or “reading for five hours per week”, in contrast, are goals one can monitor, not only to attest the success in accomplishing it, but also to quantify how close to it you get, or how much progress you make over time, depending on the ideal you have set.

3. Begin immediately. It is very common to expect for an ideal moment, for the right time, for the positive emotional condition, a companion, an incentive, greater inspirations. But those who really want to change make their own time and, the favorable conditions are attracted or discovered, afterwards, as a consequence. The famous New Year’s resolution, as we showed in the beginning of this digression, gives an idea of this false concept that there are special occasions in which changes can occur. It is one’s decision that makes the occasion.

4. In the event of a fall, get up immediately. Another misconception is that either you make a complete change, perfectly, or you simply return to the point of origin, often with increased imbalance. That is the well-known case of those who start a rigorous diet and, because they cannot keep up with  the Spartan measures they have set, surrender to binge eating, soon after realizing they are not fit for the naturalist diet.

Follow, dear friend, these simple recommendations that we have brought to you, on the advent of a new year, century or millennium, but without losing sight of the notion that dates are mere human conventions, although they have a symbolic power (and therefore psychic) that deserves to be respected and put to use. Special dates represent mere reminders of what can and should be done all the time in your life, at every day of your physical or extra physical existence. In this manner, the most important decision that you can make, either on New Year’s Eve or at any other moment of your life, is to take into your hands the control of the helm of the ship of your destiny and direct it towards the future that you outline for yourself, with balance, ponderation, lucidity, humility, but also with a lot of drive and determination to achieve your goals and reach better levels of happiness and peace, for yourself and for those you love.

The choice to journey towards happiness or remain slave of the circumstances is, really, yours.

Today.

Today.

“Today, the day for your awakening.

Today, the day for you to be happy.

Today, the day for you to find peace and fulfilment.

Your awakening to a greater level of awareness will inevitably be partial – you are a human being.

Your happiness will be impregnated with conflicts, uncertainties, and moments of sorrow –you are a soul in the process of self-discovery and self-construction.

Peace and a sense of personal accomplishment will inexorably be precarious and often confusing – you are a spirit on a very long evolutional path toward eternity!…

Despite all these observations, however, awakening, happiness, and peace of mind are every day duties. They are manifested in different ways and levels as you develop abilities, expand your knowledge, and do good to others as much as possible and in any way you can, without feeling sorry for yourself or for what you did or did not do yesterday (which is already gone), or without clinging to worries about what you can or cannot accomplish tomorrow (which is still to come), but seizing the most concrete existing opportunities: those of the day we call (and will always call)… today!”

The Great Truth.

The Great Truth.

Benjamin Teixeira de Aguiar by the Spirit Eugênia-Aspásia.

The truth is neither in the field of philosophical speculation nor in the circle of scientific experimentation. Philosophical thinking broadens and deepens horizons, whereas scientific research verifies and consolidates areas of inquiry and analysis. But only the heart can intuit purpose, objective, and meaning in all that exists.

Do not be impressed by the sophistries of philosophy or by the riddles of science. Be marvelled only by the voice of the ideal, of the fulfilled duty, of the conscience, of the sentiment. The world would collapse in an instant without the spirit of devotion, without tenderness, friendship, and the affection that binds people to one another, even if in small measures, even if through fragmentary and torn bonds. It is the heart that sustains the world. The parents’ love for their children, the love between siblings and friends, the fraternity among the followers of a cause… that’s what keeps societies together despite all evil forces that arise all the time, fighting to crumble them. Although hesitant and small, if it wasn’t for the genuine affection that spreads around the world like an invisible web of love… then the whole civilization would be ripped apart and instantly plunged into chaos and complete destruction.

Thus, if you wish to offer a valuable contribution to the world, to people and to yourself, offer love: A love with a rational basis, a love with both feet on the ground, a love with a sense of proportion, with perception and intelligence, but yet, still love. Through love, humanities have risen and fallen (because of its absence)… through love, humanities will achieve the transcendence of the angels.

It doesn’t matter whether your love is big or small: offer it. This is what the world needs the most. And then, you will be tuning in with The Most High, making yourself, on Earth, a channel of The One who is Love……

Working and resting time.

Working excessively does not mean to be more responsible or more efficient. Quite the contrary: resting time increases performance during work hours.
