Benjamin Teixeira
by the spirit Temístocles.

Not always what is official is true, as not always what is legal is moral. In the same way, not all apparent moral agrees with the true principles of spirituality. To realize the correctness of this affirmation you just have to take a quick look at the history of Religions and the awful abuses they committed against their followers.

Whenever making a judgment, be open, so that you are not deceived by fleeting sophisms. What makes you feel bad cannot be from God, as well as what makes you feel good, what makes you better, more worthy, human, productive and happy cannot come from evil forces.

Every human being, even the most brilliant and well-informed, can be deceived by the presumptions of truth of his time. The same principle is valid even when we consider a revolutionary. The revolutionary will be deceived, likewise, only this time by the utopias of the next generation.

Presume you are always wrong and you will have more chances of making fewer mistakes. It is not a matter of humbleness, but of awareness. Unless someone is stupid enough to think of himself as master of the entire Cosmos’s wisdom, he shall come to the conclusion that he is making mistakes, much more than he can realize. No matter how hard you try, the truth is that you will never be able to realize all the extension of your errors. The detected errors are already in the process of being overcome, exactly for being caught by the conscience, even if the emends take centuries. Most of the times, however, mistakes aren’t even noticed, or we perceive as error what really isn’t one.

Be human – that is your biggest trump. Not to give in to degradation, but to surrender to spontaneity, to modesty and to indulgence; certain that no one, really no one, has the right to feel better than anyone. Be human so you can give to yourself the right to grow infinitely and, in a distant future, really, transcend your humanity and dive in angelicalness.

If you feel some vague, sneaky, but constant impression, draining your self-esteem and whispering that you are unfit, incompetent, unworthy, do not worry: be welcome to mankind on Earth. The consumerist-competitive-materialistic culture suggests that only the most beautiful, intelligent, heroic and accomplished have the right to be esteemed and respected. Do not believe this fallacy and fight it with strength. You are unique, you are a human being, you are a child of god, and only by the specific contribution of your originality, of your singularity, is that the world will be more complete, or God would not have made you the way you are, as you can be, what you can become, in the current stage of your evolutionary process.

Demetrius.

Christ lives in the heart of every creature, like the air under the wings of a bird. Constant, present, it sustains their flight, but it does not exempt the bird of flapping the wings. So are we immersed in this air of the Presence of Christ, and we must make it as positive as possible, by the clever spins we come to produce with the wings of our freedom and attitude.

Sister Brigida.

Beware of contempt for the family, and each of the elements that constitute it. The person who is by your side is a hidden angel, often tolerating you, loving you despite your flaws, seen from up close, without the protection of the social conventions. Hug them, listen to them, kiss them, feel them, and above all: value them. Very natural that we belittle those who follow alongside us, exactly because they are by our side. Only when we lose them is that we realize how much we were happy and didn’t notice it. Do not dream with ideal relations, do not speculate how your life would be with others. This is mere conjecture. And the reality is, that not being perfect, the problems you face today, most probably would be brought to the relationship with whom you think is ideal, perhaps in even higher levels of discomfort.

You feel compelled, by the culture of mass production, to push yourself further, constantly. Pressing the mind, however, does not make it produce more – it might, quite the opposite, lock its delicate mechanism. And if, moreover, you begin to understand the need to rest, in order to make yourself more creative, or reduce the pace, in order to be more efficient, relieving your own stress, it would be a huge setback to blame yourself for healing your neuroses.

Relax. Life passes quickly, but one of the easiest ways of losing it is to live in a hurry. Appreciate the opportunities life offers you, develop a sense of urgency, and, therefore, learn to stop so you can feel with more intensity, think with more clarity and act with more rightfulness.

Whenever you go off the tracks, recant. Do not feel hurt for having slipped. You have the right to fail, and the duty to forgive yourself. If you have slipped, immediately recover the trail of your guidelines. Do not assume you are unable to follow your ideals, because it is difficult to do so. If it were easy, it would not be an ideal.

This way, restart today what was interrupted yesterday, and retake the line of achievements that you weave, day by day. If you had to restart several times the rug you are weaving, it’s possible that the Great Weaver plans for you a much better finished work: you perfect yourself when you have to go back and restart the effort, as well as the rough sketches you drew are undone to give way to a masterpiece that will be your final accomplishment.

Therefore, when you fall, rather than being discouraged, you must be thrilled: you are now better prepared not to fall during the next opportunity of temptation, weakness and fear.

Complex is wishing to be happy and not being able to, or worse: not wanting to. Your neuroses are nothing more than needless pains. Cut them off your life: they are not part of you; they are delusional necessities and they lie pretending to be elements of your reality. Heighten your awareness, and it will be clear to you the nonsense they represent. In these neuroses we include systematic fears, paralysing doubts, obsessive worries and devastating anxieties.

Make your life light and loose. Untie yourself disarm yourself, free yourself and be happy. As important as you think some issues may be, they too will pass. And then? What is left? Your grave?

Nothing is worth the consumption of your days and your soul. Today is your day to be happy.

Creativity is not a prerogative of geniuses: it is an inseparable attribute of human condition. If today you do not live what you feel to be, you cause yourself the greatest of disgraces: the death of your own soul, vitality and reason to live.

Do some inner cleaning, rid yourself of useless baggage, and stop waiting for great things in your life. If you know to simplify, you will be happier. If you know to forget, you will be more at peace. If you learn to always grow, you will be securing personal progress, prosperity and especially security. There is not much more to say, only to live. There is not much more to plan, only to start. Forget the adventures and failures of yesterday and, definitely, make of today a real beginning… of a new era in your life!

Morning Reflection – 3.

Fear 3:

The less you have God in your life, the more you have fear present in your life .

Fill in the empty spaces of your heart with the fullness of God and fear won’t have space in the dwelling of your soul. The spiritual experience is a human psychological need you cannot evade. Illnesses of diffuse and mysterious etiology, like panic disorder, stem from this negligence, in the fundamental field of human existence.

You will find people who make a list of a thousand reasons to be terrified and think they are very intelligent because of that. Conversely, they could make another list, one of reasons to marvel and delight them with life. They do not realize this list would be as easy to prepare as the former, and how it would be more pleasant making the latter, without even mentioning the magnificent effects it would have in their lives.

Do not believe in the hypnotic suggestions of the culture of fear that surrounds you and that is one of the most characterizing aspects of the current stage of human civilization. Make your own brain wash, according to your interests, your goals, your happiness. One thing is certain: fear is of no service to your peace, to your soul, to you. It is up to you, therefore, to defeat it, with all the strength of the heart and of the mind.

Fear:

2. Instead of surrendering to its insinuations, be practical, and see whether something can be done in order to curb its motives; do it immediately, and then calm down.

3. Even if you got to the rock bottom, terrifying yourself will only make things even more complicated.

4. Calming down is the best internal attitude to promote the discovery of creative solutions and, therefore, respond with intelligence, maturity and efficiency to the problems faced.

5. Often fear is disproportionally higher than the real risks that inspire it.
